Ms. Chavez was inspired to enter health care by her father, a general surgeon, and her mother, a midwife. She studied to be a nurse practitioner at the University of Texas Arlington and is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She chose to specia Ms. Chavez was born in Peru and moved to Texas when she was four years old. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking, musicals and traveling. She and her husband have two children. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
