Community Hospital North's new Advanced Wound Care Center provides specialized treatments for advanced wounds such as transcutaneous oxygen measurement, dressing changes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, wound debridement and skin grafts. Other services include referrals such as home health, nutrition and diabetic education. Knowing when to seek medical attention for a wound is key to treatment. Several diseases lead to chronic wounds that are hard to heal, and without quick treatment can be difficult to treat, or can even lead to amputation. The Advanced Wound Center at Community Hospital North is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of wounds, both acute and chronic, using the latest technology and techniques.
