Jarrett Dawson, MD, is a board-eligible family medicine physician. He graduated medical school from Saint Louis University and completed his residency through the Saint Louis University Family Medicine Residency program in Southwest Illinois. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and treats patients of all ages.
Dr. Dawson is interested in the full spectrum of family medicine-adults, kids, mental health, and women's health. He is also interested in bridging healthcare gaps and disparities, which disproportionately affect minority and poor communities. During medical school, Dr. Dawson worked at a student-run free clinic and helped to start a homeless outreach clinic. During residency, he cared for a mix of urban, suburban, and rural patients with high needs and low resources in a "safety net" clinic setting.
Dr. Dawson initially worked in commercial art and design, but the experience of co-founding a nonprofit in DR Congo and working with homeless children there inspired him to change course. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing with his family and taking walks in his neighborhood, as well as playing and watching soccer.
